Luxury Wild Life Safari to Tanzania 18 - 27 Feb 2012
OVERVIEW
Experience the diversity of Africa's wildlife in Tanzania. Wedged between Kenya to the north and Mozambique to the south, hard on the Indian Ocean, Tanzania has been blessedly untroubled by the strife that has racked so much of the continent. Tanzania is regarded by most explorers and travelers as the most beautiful safari country in Africa. From the wildlife parks of which the expansive Serengeti is greatly esteemed and the great migration is one of the world's great wildlife spectacles, to the glamourous and scenic caldera of the Ngorongoro Crater which is home to one of Tanzania's most opulent lodge, the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge and non-migratory animals, the riverine elephants of Tarangire and its centuries-old baobab trees, Lake Manyara's famous tree-climbing lions, and further to include the romantic islands of the Zanzibar archipelago.
Tanzania, the largest country in East Africa, includes the spice islands of Zanzibar, Pemba, and Mafia and contains Africa's highest point—Kilimanjaro, at 5,895 meters (19,340 feet). Kilimanjaro, a dormant volcano, is snowcapped even though it is near the Equator. The African population consists of more than 120 ethnic groups. Dar es Salaam is the administrative capital, but Dodoma is the designated future capital and current home to Tanzania's legislature.
Tanzania's currency is the Tanzania Shilling (TZS). The country is 2.30 hrs behind Indian Standard Time. The official language of Tanzania is Swahili and buisness language is English, but both Swahili and English are widely spoken with other localised languages and dialects like Arabic (widely spoken in Zanzibar).
Tanzania has more land devoted to national parks and game reserves than any other wildlife destination in the world. Everything from pristine coral reefs to the Crater Highlands, remote game reserves and the famous national parks are protected by government law and placed in trust for future generations to marvel at in wonder and awe.

Dear Friend/s,
Pugmarks – The Nature Club invites you to join us for a trip to a Luxury Jungle Safari @ Bandipur. Located in the southern part of the beautiful state of Karnataka, Bandipur is one of the oldest wildlife sanctuaries in India. The Bandipur National Park was made by the Maharaja of Mysore in the year 1931. The name Bandipur National Park was given in the year 1973 when the Government took over the park under the Project Tiger Scheme and it was then made into a Tiger Reserve.
Bandipur Wildlife sanctuary forms the connecting link between the Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary in Tamil Nadu and the Wayanad wildlife sanctuary in Kerala and thus, is a long beautiful stretch that you would fall in love with.

Bandipur houses several exotic varieties of fauna. While on your safari here do keep a look out for tigers, elephants, sloth bear, four horned antelope, Sambar Chithal, Gaur and many more. The monsoons add to the already existing beauty of the Bandipur sanctuary. The animals in their natural habitat are a real treat to watch.
Several species of birds have also made the Bandipur National Park their home. You could see beautiful birds like the Grey Jungle Fowl, Malabar, Trogon, Woodpecker, Weaverbird, and Brown Hawk Owl, Weaver bird, Kingfisher, Bay Owl, Warbier and a number of rare species of birds here.
We will be staying at the Cidada resort in Bandipur. Four log huts and eighteen rooms make up this resort. With a wonderful swimming pool and luscious food this resort is one of the best in Bandipur.

1 Day Picnic to Bordi 5 July09

1. One Day Picnic to Bordi Beach - 5 July 2009
Dear Friends,
Pugmarks - The Nature Club invites you to join us on a one day trip (Picnic) for a monsoon outing to Bordi Beach, Gujarat.
Winding roads fringed by the sea on one side, tall palms swaying in the salty breeze, small and big houses fronted with lawns, glimpses of educational institutions, lazy pedallers on their bicycles riding alone or with a pillion, freindly and curious children watching you drive by... a quite sea-side hamlet....that is Bordi.
It is 02 kms away from Gholvad Railway Station. Gholvad is the next stop from Dahanu Railway station.
The ideal weekend getaway for harried, hassled, nerves-at-breaking-point people and the hoi polloi, Bordi is just 140 kms from Mumbai. A haven of unspoilt beach, orchards heavy with chickoo fruits and miles of winding road waiting expectantly to be explored, Bordi has hitherto remained untouched by the greedy hands of commerce.
You can soak in its serenity and send a silent prayer that there are still places like this to go to and retire on a weekend. Hallelujah!
A local bazaar busy with women selling all kinds of wares thrown up by the sea, a "beach resort" here, a bhel puri house there, colleges for women, engineering institutions, a railway crossing here and Adivasi women there, Bordi is a blend of the halcyon days and the modern....but not too modern that you shun it.
We will be going to Bordi for a 1 (one) day picnic on 05 July 2009.
Sr. Trip Date - 05 July 2009
1 1 Day picnic @ Bordi Beach
